Every region has its own transport company. 

Around Brussels the metro, tram and bus network is run by MIVB. This network covers the nineteen municipalities of the Brussels Region and also has stops in the eleven municipalities surrounding Brussels.

Outside the capital the bus networks are run by De Lijn in Flanders and TEC in Wallonia.Both companies have buses that stop in Brussels.

Special buses:
De Lijn has special day and night buses and school buses. These buses only run at specific times, or serve a specific target group.
