Tervuren is located in the Grape District, situated in the Greenbelt surrounding Brussels. You can walk or cycle through its beautiful park, the extensive Sonian Forest, the Arboretum, or tour the fields and hollow roads of Duisburg, Moorsel and Vossem, sub-municipalities that have managed to keep their rural character very well.
Tervuren’s streets clearly reflect its rich history. Discover its many illustrious ancestors and take a moment to ponder the countless historical buildings proudly attesting a glorious past. 2018 was an important year for Tervuren thanks to the re-opening of the Royal Museum for Central Africa. After years of restoration, this sleeping giant exhibite its ‘gems’ again.

Start your visit to Tervuren at the interactive Tourist Information Centre and learn all about Tervuren’s attractions, both large and small. You can also pick up inspiration for a visit to the South Dijleland area or the lovely Sonian Forest.
You will literally wander through the trees at the Information Centre. Multiple-language apps provide a great impression of the available tourist attractions. Discover the Sonian Forest
via a digital quiz or pick bunches of grapes using a touchscreen. The Information Centre is accessible free of charge and open seven days a week during the tourist season.
